Supersport United are in Kenya to face Gor Mahia in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup play-offs this afternoon.

Kick-off is at 14h00 (South African time).

A positive result over the two legs will ensure a spot in the group stages of the Confederations Cup.

United's place in the playoffs comes courtesy of 2-1 aggregate victory over Petro de Luanda, while Gor Mahia lost to Esperance in the Champions League to drop to Confederations Cup.

The Pretoria-based side's domestic form has been poor this season, where they find themselves one place above the Absa Premiership relegation zone. A stark contrast to their form on the continent, most notable a runner-up position in last seasons Confederations Cup.

Gor Mahia are in great form on the domestic scene, having won nine out of 12 matches in all competitions in 2018 and currently occupy second position in the Kenyan Premier League.

This match makes for an interesting battle as Supersport will be looking to rediscover the form that led them to Confederations Cup Final in 2017, while Gor Mahia will seek consolation after being knocked out from the Champions League.
