AmaZulu are already applying their minds to next season when it comes to the conditioning of their players.
Cavin Johnson's side on Thursday went for medical and fitness tests at the Prime Human Performance Institute, which is based within Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Usuthu's conditioning coach Joshua Smith explained the motive for the assessment.
He told the club's website: "It is just to see where our players are now physically and how they’ve progressed from previous testing.
"It allows us to set a benchmark of where they were when we return in the pre-season.
"It’s a method of measuring the effectiveness of our physical training syllabus and allows us to identify where our players are lacking and make adjustments accordingly."
AmaZulu, in 11th place on the Absa Premiership table, are safe from relegation heading into their final match of the campaign against Cape Town City at King Zwelithini Stadium on May 12 (15h00).
