AmaZulu coach Cavin Johnson feels his side's second-half display warranted more than a point against Orlando Pirates.
Usuthu returned from the break after going a goal down to force a creditable draw thanks to Emiliano Tade’s close-range finish.
“In one moment, I don’t think so. The second half we came out and play. In the first half, we didn’t play bad but conceded and early as well. But the players did well," Johnson told SuperSport TV.
“I thought we had them where we wanted to have them today in the first and second half, we did better. The goal where Emiliano passes it to Bongz (Ntuli) and Jackson makes a magic save for me that’s the winning goal of the game.
“We maintained our dominance at the King Zwelithini Stadium. We haven’t lost here yet this season. So a lot of positives again and you play against a good team like Pirates who are second and you come away with a point where you should’ve taken maybe three.
“So, I’m happy with the players. They put in a good shift and credit to technical team behind me who always gives us advice as to where we are and how we do it as well as the physical part of the game. The game was really high of physical demands,”
