Banyana Banyana captain Janine van Wyk feels they can capitalise on Chile’s weaknesses when they meet for a second time.

Banyana were beaten 2-1 by the South Americans in an international friendly on Saturday, despite playing over a half with 10 players, and the sides will lock horns again in Santiago at 22h00 today (03h00 Wednesday, South African time).

Van Wyk, who conceded a penalty in the loss on Saturday, says Chile do not have the fastest defence, so they need to exploit this.

"Firstly we were disappointed with the result we got, although I think we did extremely well, especially with 10 players. We held  our own and showed great character to come back and get a goal. It was unfortunate that we conceded a penalty and it was a bit of a let down that I was the one who gave away the penalty," Van Wyk told SAFA Media.

"We have another opportunity against them when we face them for the second time. It will be better for us, looking at us and looking at what the Chileans are capable of doing.

"They are a good team technically. They move very well as a team, they rotate very well as a team and we need to look at where we can capitalise on their weaknesses. Looking at the goal we scored, their defence is not the fastest. We have really good strikers that can get in and around the defence and try penetrate their goal."
