The Premier Soccer League have confirmed the official dates for which the January 2019 transfer window will be open.

Today marks the official opening of the 2018/19 mid-season registration period during which clubs are now eligible to transfer players.

The League have confirmed that the registration office will open its doors exactly at 9am this morning, January 2.

Despite this, three transfers have already been announced by Absa Premiership log leaders Bidvest Wits on January 1.

The Clever Boys have snapped up Ajax Cape Town duo Brandon Petersen and Prince Nxumalo, as well as Free State Stars winger Sinethemba Jantjie on pre-contracts.

Unless an agreement is reached before the close of the current window, the trio will join their new club as of July 1 this year, ahead of the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

The window will continue to run for 29 days and close at midnight on Thursday, January 31.
