Kaizer Chiefs look set to be without goalkeeper and captain Itumeleng Khune when they take on Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Khune, who missed Amakhosi’s last league match against SuperSport United in Nelspruit, has a shoulder injury and will be assessed by the medical team.
According to Amakhosi, the Bafana Bafana shot-stopper is due to see a specialist on Thursday “to determine the extent of his injury and also to determine the period of recovery”.
Amakhosi fans will be hoping that their goalkeeper is not out for too long as they look to bounce back from a disappointing first half of the season, which saw coach Ernst Middendorp replacing Giovanni Solinas, who parted ways with the side in December.
