Cape Town City lock horns with Highlands Park at the Cape Town Stadium, with a spot in the last eight of the Nedbank Cup on the line for either side on Friday.

Kick off is at 20h00.

City’s six-game unbeaten run came to an end last weekend at AmaZulu, while Highlands bounced back from successive defeats to beat log leaders Bidvest Wits at home.

Moreover, City have already fallen to the Lions of the North this season, with a 2-0 win at the start of December.

Highlands have no major injuries to report and will be out to ensure their league triumph in Tembisa was indeed no fluke.

It’s the first-ever knockout encounter between the two sides, as there’s been merely three matches played to date.

The Citizens defeated SuperSport United in the previous round, while Highlands saw off AmaZulu on penalties in the round of 32.
