A Fulbright Scholar from Africa lectured at Bluefield College as part of Global Education Emphasis Week. Dr. Kodzo Kuma Ahondo is from the Republic of Togo.
He presented two lectures this week, one about the nation, culture and identity in the Togolese Republic, and the other about analyzing American civilization from an African perspective.
Dr. Ahondo is an Assistant Professor in American Literature and Civilization at a university in Togo. He’s currently a Postdoctoral Fulbright Scholar at NYU. Presentations such as the one at Bluefield College are conducted through the Fulbright Scholar Program’s Outreach Lecturing Fund or OLF.
This fund allows visiting scholars to share their research interests, speak about their home country and exchange ideas with U.S. students, faculty, and community organizations.
