Borussia Dortmund may have another superstar in the waiting with teenage sensation Youssoufa Moukoko, who has scored 101 goals in the past two and a half seasons in their academy.

Moukoko burst onto the scene with the BVB academy back in 2017 when he finished as top scorer in the club’s U15 side, netting 33 times in 21 games to help them win the Regionalliga West title with five matches to spare.

The Cameroon-born teenager who joined the club from St. Pauli made headlines across Germany for his incredible exploits and followed on with 40 goals in the U-17 B-Junioren Bundesliga West in the next season.

His form soon earned him a call-up to the Germany U16 team, where he made his debut against Austria in September last year.

And there are now hopes he can emulate the likes of Christian Pulisic and Jacob Bruun Larsen by graduating into first-team regulars.

“It remains to be seen whether or not this will be an extraordinary crop of players,” h U15 coach Peter Wazinski to the Bundesliga website about the record-breaking squad led by Moukoko.

“But we hope that the majority of them will develop in a similar way to the group born in 1998.”

Director of Youth Development Lars Ricken confirmed the player will only be allowed to train with the first-team once he turns 17 but this hasn’t prevented the teenager of setting himself ambitious targets.

“My goal is to become a professional with Dortmund, win the Champions League with Borussia and win the Ballon d’Or,” Moukoko told SportBild.

The German wonderkid who’s captained the U-17 side this year has scored 28 goals in 15 appearances as they romp towards yet another title.
