The family of Ibrahim Halawa have expressed dismay after his name was not included on a list of more than 200 people pardoned by the Egyptian president this week.
The 21-year-old Dublin man is “dying” in a prison hospital, his relatives say. He has been held in Cairo since 2013 and his trial has been delayed 19 times.
Mr Halawa was arrested after he and his siblings spoke on stage at a rally organised by the Muslim Brotherhood. He is accused along with more than 400 others of riot, sabotage and inciting violence.
