The charges related to Jiba's decision to prosecute Johan Booysen, the former head of the Hawks in KwaZulu-Natal, on racketeering charges. The National Prosecuting Authority has withdrawn its application for leave to appeal a Pretoria High Court ruling that set aside the decision by former National Director of Public Prosecutions Shaun Abrahams to withdraw charges against his deputy Nomgcobo Jiba.
