The sacked vice-captain was banned for 12 months by Cricket Australia after being accused of masterminding the ball-tampering plot.

Candice Warner told the magazine her miscarriage was “a heartbreaking end to a horror tour”.

The Warners, who already have daughters Ivy Mae and Indi Rae, have faced a tumultuous year, which did not improve when Cameron Bancroft last week pinpointed Warner as the sandpaper mastermind in the ball-tampering affair.

Australian cricket greats have hit out at fresh recent interviews that reopened the ugly wound.

Shock interviews with former captain Steve Smith and sandpaper culprit Bancroft were aired on the opening day of the Boxing Day test against India at the MCG last Wednesday.

Bancroft revealed it was Warner who suggested using sandpaper on the ball in the third test against South Africa in Cape Town that saw the disgraced trio banned.

Former Australian batsman Michael Slater said the relationship between the former test opening partners is now “untenable” after Bancroft pinpointed Warner as the mastermind behind the cheating scandal.
